Everyday Helpful Plumbing Tips
- Make sure everyone in the house knows where the Main Water Shut Off is in the event of an emergency.
- Use Drain Cleaners as a last resort, because often they do not work. Always use a plunger first, and if you have to call a plumber after using a drain cleaner, make sure you let your plumber know this.
- When buying new plumbing fixtures, ensure that replacement parts are available for your fixture.
- Ensure you shut off all outside water values in cold weather or winter.
- Never pour hot water into your toilet, it could crack the bowl.
- Never put coffee grinds in your sink drains.
- Never pour fats or cooking oils into your sink drain.
- Flush large volmes of water while using your Garburator, never run it without the cold water running; which could result in plugged darins or clogged garburators.
Humidifer Maintenance
- Check your Owner's Manual for complete care and maintenance of your humidifier.
- Thoroughly clean your humidifier at the start and eand of each season.
- Clean your humidifier filtre with humidifer cleaner and antibacterial solution to prevent and eliminate the build up of minerials and bacteria.
- Do not allow film and scale to build up on your humidifer.
